Since 2002, Red Sky Cafe has consistently been serving amazing food and hospitality in Duck NC. Chef Wes Stepp changes the menu with the seasons, and the variety of offerings keeps customers coming back. Red Sky Cafe is open year-round, 7 days per week for lunch and dinner in the summer months and from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday during the winter months.

Red Sky Cafe’s Menu Offerings
The menu will satisfy all palates, whether you’re looking for fresh OBX seafood, tasty beef, and chicken, or vegetarian dishes. “Handhelds” include tacos, sandwiches, and wraps, but these are no ordinary handheld cafe offerings. Choose from roasted brussels sprout tacos or beer-battered fish of the day tacos. The Red Sky Beast Burger features a blended patty made of elk, bison, wild boar, and Wagyu beef, topped with bacon jam and gruyere cheese.
Main entrees include coastal southern favorites, like Red Sky Famous Shrimp ‘n Grits, as well as good-for-you options from Chef Wes Stepp’s Tastefully Fit menu.
Live music is offered outside 7 days per week during the summer months.
The restaurant offers special menus around many holidays, like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Eve. The holiday menus are popular with OBX locals and visitors alike.
Tastefully Fit at Red Sky Cafe
Food is not Chef Wes’ only passion, as he is focused on fitness and has participated in two bodybuilding contests. Being in the food hospitality industry, Chef Wes had to find a way to merge his passion for food and fitness. He taught himself to prepare food with health and fitness in mind, and the Tastefully Fit menu was born. The Tastefully Fit menu cuts fat from classic dishes and allows diners to enjoy what they eat while sticking to their food plan. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Tastefully Fit options are available at Red Sky Cafe and NC Coast Grill & Bar, Chef Wes’ other restaurant, located on the Duck soundfront, a bit south of Red Sky.
Red Sky Services
To-go, catering, and Chefs on Call are services currently available. Online ordering is available from the regular menu, and holiday menu options are available for pre-order. Catering for weddings, corporate retreats, and other events is available. Chefs on Call is the restaurant’s personal chef service. Menus can be personalized in advance, and you can enjoy your Outer Banks stay without worrying about what’s for dinner. Catering and Chefs on Call services are available throughout the Outer Banks, from Carova to Hatteras.
