"The interior of this house is incredible and lived up to the photos on the Twiddy site. The owner's thought of everything from the wood trim in the kitchen to the huge number of dvd's to choose from to the incredible master bedroom and it's amazing bathroom. The spiral staircase and main entrance were incredible...and of-course the location and short walkway to the beach."

"Overall the house is fantastic! The kitchen is exceptionally equipped and stocked with all necessary utensils and more, location is perfect, pool, hot tubs and fireplaces so nice, bicycles a bonus, ample patio chairs on all decks, and furnishings very nice for rental property. Our only complaint would be internet access very, very limited on the main floor off of kitchen. Only one person at a time was able to access the internet in this area, otherwise, you had to go to the second level for internet access. Also, the water in the kitchen would never get very hot. Twiddy did address the internet problem but they were unable to resolve the issue due to the owner’s system. Hopefully next year the elevator will be operable. Suggestion would also be to provide operating instructions for fireplaces and televisions. T.V. wouldn’t power on without opening the cabinet doors which we discovered after a couple of days! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning to Family Dreams next year, 2022!"

"Our stay at Family Dreams in Corolla Light was more than anything we could have asked for. The house is beautifully decorated and has so many amenities that will keep you entertained all week long. We had our families rent the two houses that share the private walkway to the beach so it was super convenient to have our family over and take our beach chairs/umbrellas to and from the houses. The kitchen was one of the most impressive rooms in the house with cooling and heating drawers, an ice machine, a large refrigerator and freezer, and a ton of utensils. The home has a surround sound music system but we could not figure out how to connect it to our phones through Bluetooth. It was a great feature though when we did have our families over so that we could all listen to music whether we were inside and outside of the house. Other great amenities included corn hole boards, a cooler, a handful of bikes, a ping pong table, two dishwashers on the top floor and one on the bottom floor, an outside bathroom with a shower, beach chairs, high chairs for kids, two sets of washers and dryers, amazing beach and lighthouse views, multiple coffee machines, an ice machine and freezer on the bottom floor, a huge covered outdoor bar area, and two hot tubs. I'll also mention that the photos listed for the house are outdated. None of the bedsheets in the pictures are on the beds and the owners updated many of the indoor decorations and furniture. We truly felt at home and comfortable in this space and are excited to come back and make more memories with our friends and families!"

"Family Dreams exceeded the pictures and our expectations. The kitchen is a dream for any chef and we found a lot of surprise extras like refrigerated drawers and a gorgeous bathroom off of the pool patio. (Didn't realize that was there until late in the vacation!) Unlike many of the homes we have stayed in during past OBX visits, the beds are super comfortable and nothing is "cheap." Every bathroom had beautiful showers and there were two laundry areas. There was a pool table, a ping pong table and a mountain of games. (No need to take your own.) And DVD's... I have NEVER seen so many DVD's in one home. I thought we had a lot here in PA but we met our match! :) Oh...and the elevator! You should see the mural and artistic details of the elevator...complete with sandy beach and shells at the bottom! My girls LOVED that! There were minor issues but Twiddy was very quick to respond. The details of this home will not disappoint. Would love to vacation here again, but the price was a bit steep for just one family. (Fear of Covid-19 kept the other members of our party home.) If you can afford it...I highly recommend it!"

"We rented Family Dreams for 1 week July 2020. This is a FABULOUS House. New to the 2020 season, the owners added a Ping Pong table, 7 bikes, boogie boards, a skim board and 6 beach chairs. The pool is smaller than it appears in the pictures online but it is a perfect size for the family to cool off. Pay no attention to the bedspreads, they are NOT on the beds and the rooms look much better without them. The blue bedroom has the smallest, non-renovated bathroom in the house. The outdoor bathroom by the pool is very nice. The house has over 100 DVD's to choose from, puzzles, games, cards provided by Twiddy. We rented surf boards from Corolla Light for 10.00 per hour, and one hour was plenty, unless you know how to surf. The house is in a great area for bike riding. If you like to cook, as we do, the kitchen has plenty of room and two dishwashers make it easier for cleanup. We were very disappointed that there is NO grill on the upper deck. According to Twiddy, many houses have been set on fire?? No idea how that is even possible but if you plan to grill steaks and eat upstairs, it becomes annoying to have to take everything down to grill and head back upstairs to serve, but we made it work. There were a few things that were not clean or did not work or in need of repair. Twiddy did their best to get to the home quickly and took care of everything. The beds are SUPER comfortable and we were happy to see all rooms have TV. The AC and fans worked fine, the house was never too hot or cold. Loved the elevator, and we ended up using it quite a bit. The house had no hairdryers, no toilet paper, paper towels. We were given one sponge, 1 dishwashing pod and 1 garbage bag. Since we rent houses for vacation, we came fully stocked with all of the above and more. If you are not used to renting, be aware of what you will need to bring or buy. Really NO complaints, would certainly rent this house again. Thank you Family Dreams for a wonderful week!"
