"I have been going to the Outer Banks for 35 years and this is the best house we have ever stayed in! All of the little touches like thoughtful decorating, multiple microwaves and dishwashers, and every appliance or pot type you could ask for made for a very stress free vacation! My family also loved the hot tub and swing on the front porch. We hope to stay here again the next time we come to OBX!"

"We were very happy with Le Chateau de Sable. It was big enough for our party of 16, ages 2 to 73, with room enough to give people get away space when they needed it. Being on the beach made it so easy to enjoy it and the community has a life guard right at the end of the walkway so we felt comfortable letting the older kids go on their own. The kitchen is well equipped and having the second refrigerator downstairs is a great convenience for those beach beverages, And Oma loved having the elevator!"

"Surf & Volley is a gorgeous house, and we loved the Tennis, Swimming and other amenities provided by the Corolla Light community. The house is in need of a few updates, as some of the fixtures are getting dated, but it did not compromise the quality of the vacation one bit. Would definitely stay here again."

"Great house and ocean views / beach access! It was a little cool during some of our visit. We would move from the beach, to the deck, to the screened in porch, then to the living area with ocean views. The house really maximizes your enjoyment of the ocean views and sounds. We also liked that just three houses shared the boardwalk to the beach, which felt safe for our kids. The house was very clean when we arrived. Rooms were comfortable for all our guest. Whoever previously commented on the measuring cups, their are now two large ones. It would be nice if some of the basic kitchen supplies were available (salt/pepper, hand soap, saran wrap, etc.), but understand that it is a rental. Our kids enjoyed playing tennis at the neighborhood court and were able to reservice multiple times throughout the week. They also liked walking to play mini golf and for ice cream in Corolla Light village. I would recommend this house to family or friends."

"The views are fantastic and the picture windows in the family room and kitchen were great. The master on the 2nd floor with all of the other bedrooms has the best view of the ocean. The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect. A few items that weren't fantastic - 1. The cable/internet went out on the second day - we had a few work team calls and school zooms that needed access to the internet. Twiddy was not helpful in resolving and suggested that I contact the local cable company. I was on the phone with the cable company for 1 hour and still unable to resolve. The cable company then made an appointment at the end of the week after getting "approval" from the home owner to come out. We were out internet/cable for over a day. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but on my vacation, I expect internet/cable to work and I don't want to be on the phone with the cable company. I think Twiddy should have done more to help resolve the issue especially since I needed their help to make an appointment anyway. 2. The kitchen is lacking in the cooking equipment. If you plan on using the kitchen, bring your own measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowls. Not surprising, the knifes are terrible, but this is more expected at the beach. If you are interested in any crab, they have no utensils to break the hard shells."

"We rented this home in March. The weather was rainy for part of the week and cold and sunny the rest. But it didn’t matter because the view from inside the inviting living room was stunning—and we enjoyed watching the stormy ocean from inside. The builder did a great job maximizing the views for the living room and dining room. The owners did a great job with the furnishings so guests could get the most from the oceanfront views whether sitting for a meal at the dining table or relaxing on the sectional in the living room. The two red chairs by the main windows swiveled so guests could look out to the ocean or spin around to talk to those in the living room. My favorite spot was a perch in a small circular space that rose off the living room with a large, comfy chair and ottoman, surrounded by windows to get a full view of the ocean and dunes. I loved sitting there in the morning with a cup of coffee and then in the evening with a glass of wine. Ample seating on the decks including a picnic table, lounge chairs, rockers, and high-top chairs so a large family can enjoy the warm weather together. The hot tub on the second floor deck was perfect on the cold nights and kept us dry when it rained. We spent many hours playing pool in the game room. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen is a fantastic size with large countertops. Bring measuring cups if you want to bake anything. Also, bring basket liners for the coffee makers. Because of COVID, these weren’t provided. Overall, if we were needed anything for the kitchen, since we cooked most days, Twiddy was very responsive in supplying items like potholders or scissors that were either missing or damaged. I was really happy with the ice maker in the kitchen since we love cold drinks. The house is much loved and some of the bathroom and kitchen fixtures as well as appliances are a little older. However, it didn’t matter because the house was comfortable, warm, and welcoming. The Corolla Light community is an added bonus that gave us access to tennis, basketball, and bocce ball courts along with the gym as part of the rental. There was also an indoor pool and an outdoor one (the outdoor was closed for the season). The gym had a good variety of weights and exercise machines. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the location and the view!"

"Overall we loved the house and would rent it again. In fact, one of our party already made an advance reservation for 2021. A few things: 1) kitchen was under-equipped for serving bowls, 2) ice maker in kitchen did not work although it was not advertised (we did use it for storing ice), 3) television cable connection in one of the bedrooms (2nd floor north oceanfront) did not work and the Twiddy tech, after coming once, never returned to finish the repair, 3) the cleaning equipment and extra chairs stored in the sun room took away from the enjoyment of that particularly charming room, 4) the living room television was very old and the display was not of high quality (although the sound system hooked to it was awesome). We had a wonderful week with memories to enjoy forever."
