Welcome to “Sea to Shining Sea”! We hope you love the views and time here as much as we did when we first walked in.
The top level brings the ocean right to you through our magnificent views from the living, primary bedroom with its own balcony deck, screened-in porch, and south balcony. From the screened-in porch, you can also see the Currituck Lighthouse, a beautiful sunset, or the fireworks on the 4th of July. Sit in front of our living room windows and enjoy a game of chess or read a book while the ocean waves roll in. Wake up in your king-size bed and go onto your private deck to hear the morning waves and partake in amazing sunrises. To start your morning, you can go out to the screened-in porch or the south balcony with a cup of tea or coffee. Our gas fireplace is for your use from Oct to April. Our well-stocked kitchen and new coffee bar are there to make as grand a meal or as simple as you want. We also have 2 dishwashers. We have a large dining table and a smaller dining table along with ample counter seating. Play chess or choose another game, we have stocked both plus plenty of books for you to choose from. Take a book with you if you don’t finish or leave a book for the next guest – one of my favorite things is to leave one for someone else to enjoy and make room for shells in my bag!
Our middle level has 5 bedrooms for your guests – 2 kings, 2 queens, and a bunk room (2 bunk sets). The middle ocean-facing king bedroom has a desk if you need to work remotely. The room to the left is a queen. The room to the right is another king with ample space to add a pack-and-play (2 provided). The last bedroom to the right and street/deck facing is a queen. All rooms but the bunk room have their own access to the deck. Three of the bedrooms are ensuites. There is a hall bath for the one queen room and the bunk room on this level. The space in the entry hall has been updated to be set up as a remote workspace. The deck on this level has the entrance to the beach plus runs the full length of the house with breathtaking views of the ocean while having a pool view. Enjoy any of the four hammock swings on this level. The bottom level has a large family/game room with a pool table, foosball table, flat screen TV, mini kitchen with microwave and refrigerator, a surf-themed bunk room (2 bunk sets), laundry, half bath, and full bath plus exits to the pool area. The lower outside area has plenty of seating to sit around the pool or relax out of the sun.
As you come off the beach and down the steps there are two outdoor showers. There is also a bar area. Enjoy the propane grill or two charcoal grills. Our home has wonderful areas to be together or relax on your own. The shells on the beach are plentiful for those early morning walks. Enjoy the time on the beach with chairs provided.

The home has plenty of room for a large family but we only had 9 adults and we enjoyed the space and peacefulness of the home. "This was the 8th year we have stayed at this house. The house layout and location are just right for our family gathering. We were happy to see some improvements made to the house since the prior year. The new owners have obviously decided to invest some into the maintenance of the property. Unfortunately, with the recent storms, the protective dunes on the ocean side have basically been totally wiped out. Hopefully they will be in some way restored. We plan to return again next year."

"Location is absolutely tremendous with incredible views of the beach and ocean. The house itself is in need of some serious updating/upgrades of some of the main living areas. Outdated bathrooms and a kitchen with rotting water worn cabinets, and cabinetry that no longer functions properly. The decks are in rough shape and the outside screened in porch has a non functional door and rotting wood. It has enormous potential to be one of the most desirable houses on the beach bc of its location and how close it is to the actual ocean, but it needs some love."
"The house accommodates our families well (right number of bedrooms, baths, etc.), has all the amenities we want (oceanfront, pool and spa) and is in a good location. The beach here is seldom crowded. Place could use some TLC as there are a variety of minor maintenance items which could use some attention and the selection of kitchen pots, pans, bowls, casseroles, etc. is a bit of a mixed bag. One of the two dishwashers was not operable (which was not a real problem as long as we remembered to run the one when full), but there was nothing indicating that the other one was not working right. We had to discover that ourselves with a dishwasher load that did not get washed. In spite of the negatives noted, the positives far outweigh them, and we have been happy to return multiple times. This was our 7th year, and we plan on returning again next year."

The only thing I can say is the kitchen could use some better pots and pans, there was three coffee pots but only one worked, and only one of the two dishwashers worked. other than that the house is absolutely beautiful. The views are amazing. Some mornings we woke up to dolphins playing. The kids love it and we plan on making it a yearly trip!"
"We had a great time at Toes in the Sand. Awesome location and views. Layout of the house was great. The only downside that I can mention is that the kitchen was not well supplied. With COVID we are quite a few meals in the house. The knives were very dull, there was no juicer but we purchased one and left at the house and glasses, pots and pans could have been better. I only write this in hopes that the owner will think about improving kitchen supplies. Even with those comments I would give the house 5 stars and we booked again for next year."
"Toes in the Sand was very nice. Great location. Oceanfront but this house is legitimately feet from the sand and a 100 yards from the ocean. Incredible views. House could use some updating and maintenance. Particularly the windows which are hard to see out of, deck and sliding doors throughout the house are very worn, and deck is due for replacing or major sanding and refinishing. Overall good house in a beautiful spot."
