"The house is close to the beach. The pool and hot tub are in good condition. The appliances work well, but a second dish washer would really help with dinner clean up. There is plenty of hot water when lots of people are showering, doing laundry, and running the dishwasher. There are two grills, a gas and a charcoal."

"The house was great,clean close to the beach,well equipped.On the down side the interstructure is not keeping up with demand. 2 hour wait for a pizza,empty shelves at the store and roads very crowded, stores closing early without notice.This was our 17th year on the Outer Banks and the first year we didn't get a gift basket. All things considered it was still a great vacation and we will be back next year. Thanks"

"Great Fall Getaway!! We very much enjoyed our week at Dutch Delite. Great proximity to the beach with a couple peekaboo views of the ocean from the upper deck. Also, great location to several restaurants, markets and groceries. The home was large and clean. Lots of great amenities including the pool, hot tub, pool table and tons of space to spread out. Our only constructive criticism would be the yard not being mowed and making it more difficult to find places to walk our dogs and there is a pretty significant spider issue. None of these were deal breakers; we would stay here again. However, it would be great to see the home sprayed and cleared of some of the arachnid friends!"

"The interior of this home was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, and pots/pans. We had problems with the bathroom toilets getting stopped up on the 3rd level of the home. This included the master king bedroom and the powder room toilets. As for the exterior of the home, it was in poor condition, and needs to be thoroughly cleaned and maintained. There are large spiders, spider webs, nests at every entrance, on all patio and pool furniture, on all decks and stairs on all levels, etc. Spider webs are even at the front door entrance. It looks like arachnophobia in the carport. The pool loungers has mildew on them and are weathered. They have no cushions and they need to be replaced. The hot tub does not get hot and the jets have very little power. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the exterior of this home and it was disappointing. On a positive note, it was nice that the home did provide 4 new beach chairs which came in handy for our days at the beach. The beach is about a two minute walk. The home is located in a nice community. I would have given this home a four star if the exterior was cleaned and maintained. First impressions are important. Having said that, we will be reserving a different home for our next vacation in Corolla."

"Dutch delight was a great getaway for our family to decompress and enjoy and celebrate Christmas 2020. This house is amazing. From the floor plan to the location we couldn’t feel luckier to have chosen this house. There were only 6 of us so there was plenty of room to spread out. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and living room area and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and lots of room to prep meals. The walks to the beach were great - about 2 minutes tops. 5 minute drive to fully stocked Harris Teeter. 10 minutes to Duck . We would love to return in the summertime to enjoy the pool and the decks. We were also grateful the owners allowed our group to bring our 4 small and hypoallergenic dogs as we couldn’t leave home without them. (additional fee). If we had to find something negative to put in this review it it would be figuring out the TV/ cable system which was a little “confusing”. We recommend this house and we would love to return."

"Overall, we had a very enjoyable time at this home. Some minor inconveniences with the home itself (air conditioning not as cool in the upper level, exterior patio doors not opening, pool system not running properly, hot tub in need of repair, etc.) could be improved upon. Everything else about the house worked great and these inconveniences didn't impact our stay. We had great weather and enough space for 6 adults and 6 children. This was our third rental through Twiddy and I would use them again (we like to select a different house every time)."
