Need a getaway? It’s time for the Great Escape! Located in the Pine Island community of Corolla, The Great Escape II is the perfect vacation home for anyone in need of a break from reality. Tucked next to the Pine Island Audubon Wildlife Refuge, vacationers can experience the views of both the sound and the ocean. Pine Island is secluded on the beach in Corolla, allowing for endless beach views full of relaxation and serenity. The Great Escape II is a perfect getaway for those in search of uninterrupted time with family, friends and the beach.
The top floor of this home is enclosed with massive windows, allowing for wide-ranging views of the ocean from various rooms. The kitchen is supplied with tools to satisfy all of your cooking needs, encouraging family dinners. Enjoy the views from the dining area, surrounded by the stretch of waves in the distance. After dinner, head over a few steps into the great room, where the family fun continues. There is a master bedroom with a king bed, a large walk-in shower and a private deck. The top floor of this home is designed for spending time with family and friends while taking in the breathtaking views that the Outer Banks has to offer!
The second level of this home contains two master bedrooms, each with a king bed. One of these rooms has deck access while the other has a private deck. There are two more bedrooms - one with a king bed with deck access and the other with two duo bunks. Kick back and relax here after a long day on the beach, or simply enjoy each other’s company out on the deck, overlooking the rolling waves!
Last but not least, the bottom level of this home beholds laundry, a queen sleeper sofa, a second refrigerator, full bath and another bedroom. The bedroom contains two bunk sets, providing this home with plenty of room and comfort for all of the guests in the home. Step outside and take a dip in the private pool, soak in the hot tub or rest poolside on the patio. After a quick swim in the pool or long day perched by the beach, come inside to the den on the bottom floor to congregate and cool off. The Great Escape II provides guests with comfortable amenities such as USB charging ports in each bedroom, exciting extras like the pool and hot tub, as well as scenic views. "Very well appointed home. As mentioned in other reviews the stand alone ice maker doesn’t work. We defrosted, powered off, etc, no ice. The beach is very narrow here at this point. For many hours around high tide the beach is unusable - the water is up to the dune. Great hot tub."

"We have stayed here before. The location and floor plan were perfect for our extended family. We did have some water damage from the hurricane but it was taken care of. We did not have ice the entire week due to a broken ice maker. Otherwise everyone had a great time. I tried to rebook the house again for 2023 but was told that Twiddy is not renting it next year."
"Large well appointed bedrooms, awesome decks, everything you could think of needing in the kitchen, lots of bathrooms, and the views - beautiful!! Lovely pool, lots of beach chairs and only steps from the beach. Other than my fitted sheet kept slipping off each night and the fact that Hurrican Ian blew through (powerful but also beautiful) so there was some leakage around several windows and sliding doors - but we called Twiddy and they came and dealt with the issues ever so quickly. Ice maker didn't work but they were ordering a part so should be good for the next family. Everything was great for our vacation. - Would definitely stay here again!!"
