Modern coastal luxury can be found at “American Spirit” on the Outer Banks! With an oceanfront location in Corolla, gorgeous ocean views are yours for the duration of your stay. Spacious common areas and top amenities make for a vacation experience like no other. Large families will love the layout, as there is the main house as well as a guest house.
In the main home, enjoy stunning ocean views from the bright and open great room on the top floor. The comfortably furnished living area features an electric fireplace, perfect for use during chilly evenings. The roomy kitchen is fully equipped to store and prepare meals for a crowd. An elevator assists with getting groceries from the ground floor up to the kitchen on the third level. Two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and plenty of counter space allow for multiple cooks to work, or clean up, in the kitchen. Bar seating is available at the kitchen counter for a quick bite to eat or enjoy meals together in the dining area nearby. A half bathroom can be found on the third floor of the main home as well. There is one master bedroom, which includes a luxurious bathroom, as well as deck access.
On the middle floor of the main home, there are six additional master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Several of the master bedrooms include access to the deck. There is also a sitting area that includes a wet bar with a refrigerator, so there is no need to walk up to the third floor to grab a cold drink or a snack. The laundry room is also located on the second floor. The main home’s final master bedroom, which includes a private bathroom, can be found on the ground floor.
The remaining space on the ground level of the home was designed with entertainment in mind. Family movie night can go to an epic new level in the theatre room. The rec room features a pool table, card table, and arcade. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator in the rec room so refreshments can be readily available. A half bathroom and second laundry room can also be found on the ground floor.
The guest house is accessible from the main home via the decks. On the third floor of the guest house, there are two master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, as well as a sitting area with a wet bar and refrigerator. The second floor of the guest house has the same layout as the floor above it.
Outside, you’ll find an oceanside oasis. Play all day in the private pool. When you’re ready to take a break, head over to the poolside cabana, which features a rooftop sundeck that connects to the walkway to the beach. A full outdoor bathroom is also included for convenience. Located in the Whalehead community, this home is close to all that Corolla has to offer. The view, the decor, the layout, the theater room, the pool and hot tub, the walkway to the beach…everything was amazing! The home smelled so clean when we walked in! Everyone in our group raved about the house all week. It was like we were living in a dream! We all agreed that while we have stayed in nice houses before…this may have been the best! One of the things we noticed that won’t be on the listing is the way the whelk shells (looks like conch shells) seemed to just roll right up to the houses area on the beach! We like to walk on the beach and look for shells but we found the most just sitting on the sand in front of the houses steps! Made the week that much more magical to us."

"The house was beautiful and checking in was so nice and easy. The bathrooms were all custom and a nice modern style. The designer did a nice job on the furniture and décor. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and baking hardware. The beds ands pillows were comfortable. The guest house was a nice feature. We had small children with us. They went to sleep early in the guest house, while we stayed up and didn't have to worry about being quite. The outdoor living space was awesome. There was an outdoor sitting area with a TV which was a great feature. We loved the pool with the water fall and the shallow area for the babies was great. All around great house. All the electronics: TV's, movie room, and speakers were easy to use. The only complaint is there was no outside steps going from the 2nd floor to the inside of the house. So if you came off the beach to get to the 3rd floor or the guest house you had to go down to the 1st floor and go inside and up to the 2nd/ 3rd floor. You could cut through someone's bedroom but if it's not your room that's not right. We would rent this house again. The is our 3rd time renting with Twiddy and it's been a great experience."

Love the volleyball court but wish there was a gate to access it instead of having to go out the front and around the house. Love the double fridges and dishwashers and microwaves, was surprised that there wasn’t a second oven however. Overall loved the house and would absolutely rent it again. Loved that the owners left 3 delicious pies for us!! Thank you! We had a great week at American Spirit!"
