Your ideal Outer Banks vacation awaits at “Pirate's Moon” in Corolla! This five-bedroom coastal retreat is just one house back from the beach in the Whalehead community. Centrally located in Corolla, shopping, restaurants, dining, and attractions, including The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, are a short drive from the home. Your entire family will enjoy all that is offered at this comfortable beach house.
Fun in the sun will be on your vacation agenda, both at the home and at the soft-sand beach nearby. The community beach walkway is located two lots to the left of the house for convenient trips to and from the home for cooler refills or mid-day breaks from the sun. At the home, take a refreshing dip in the private pool or simply lay in the sunshine poolside. The hot tub is steps away when you’re ready for a relaxing soak. Expansive decks are located on the second and third levels of the home and offer various seating options, including porch swings, Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables. The screened porch on the second level has a picnic table, making it a great place to enjoy lunch outdoors. Out front, cook dinner on the Weber gas grill while the ballers in your group play basketball in the large driveway nearby.
The great room on the top level is the home’s main gathering place. Open the four large sliding doors to allow the salty ocean breeze to fill the room. In the comfortably furnished living area, enjoy the stunning ocean views as you relax and enjoy the refreshing aroma of the ocean. The ceiling fan in the cathedral ceiling allows the ocean breeze to circulate throughout the space. In the early mornings, make a cup of coffee and step outside onto the expansive deck to watch the sunrise over the ocean. The third-level deck is also an ideal place to have breakfast at the picnic table or delight in afternoon happy hours. Back inside, the custom-designed modern kitchen is a dream, featuring quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink, upgraded flooring, sleek cabinets, and recessed lighting. The nearby dining area allows your family to gather for delicious meals throughout your stay, from seafood boils to pizza and everything in between.
There is one bedroom on the third floor, which includes a semi-private bathroom that also opens to the great room. The home’s master bedroom is available on the second level and includes a private bathroom. Three additional bedrooms, two with deck access, and a full bathroom are also available on the second floor. Open the bedrooms’ sliding doors in the evenings to drift to sleep to the sound of the waves lapping the shore nearby. Laundry facilities are available on the second floor as well.

"Pirate’s Moon is our new first choice in Whalehead! The home had everything we needed to make us feel at home! The pool area has very comfortable seating with umbrellas for shade, the basketball hoop in the pool was also a big hit. Plenty of beach chairs and equipment. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep. The home is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is prime, the walk to the beach access is very short and you can see glimpses of the ocean from the top deck. Perfect home for smaller families, feels like a beach home instead of a small hotel. We will be returning next summer!"

"The home was very well stocked with kitchen needs, and decorated very nicely. Nice location and the pool was great. Was a nice stay for our family. Twiddy also responded very quickly and helped us out with an issue with the grill."
We will be rebuilding our Weber grill this winter to a like new condition for next season. Also, we will be upgrading our mattresses and bedding this winter plus we have plans for remodeling the kitchen with new cabinets, appliances, and flooring.

Rachel, TY for your review and recommendation. We are giving 10% to repeat renters through Sept 30, 2023. Over this winter we are changing out the bedding with new all new mattresses. Plus, we plan to change out the couch with a new leather one before next season. TY for your comments. We have a pest service to spray for bugs regularly. All of the sliding doors are being replaced over the window and they have already been ordered. All umbrellas were new in May 2022, but we will check all of them as the 22 weeks of rentals might have taken a toll on them. We give a 5% discount to any repeat renters, and we would love to have you back. Plus, we replace the beach chairs each season.

I love to cook and usually have to bring my own supplies but this beach house was very well stocked with great pots and pans, cooking utensil’s and even cooking spices and herbs. The only thing I would recommend for this home would be a table for the pool area and out on one of the decks so you could eat the seafood boil from down the street outside and enjoy the weather! Also I would get a powerwash to the home and treat for spiders. But we throughly enjoyed our time here! Thank you so much!"
