"We’ve been vacationing in the Outer Banks since 2008 and stayed in this house, Pura Vida, since 2010 when it was named Sarsaparilla and listed under another rental company. We’ve look forward each year to see improvements on the property to make our vacation more enjoyable. This year the outdoor grill and pool deck upgrades were especially noticed and appreciated. I think most of our time was spent on the pool deck or the well appointed kitchen where each family took turns on a theme dinner night. The home is in great shape. Twiddy was very responsive to some minor maintenance needs. We’ve already booked for 2022 and looking forward to next summer."

"We have been coming to the Outer Banks since 1990. Our usual pattern is to stay in a different home each year. This home was just outstanding. Truly the finest home we have rented...thus we broke tradition and rented it again for 2022. The pictures are exact replications of the home. The interior decor (colors, accents) are beautiful. We had a party of 15 and the kitchen with its open plan made meal prep a breeze. Two dishwashers are much appreciated for a large family. The new grill area (with grill, sink and a side burner) was ideal. I do not know the dimensions on the pool but it gave our 7 grandchildren lots of open area. There is a new L shaped outdoor couch which was great for anyone taking a pool break. The bedrooms and bathrooms (yes all of them) are magazine worthy. The owner provides 4 beach bikes that got utilized frequently. It is a very short walk to public beach access, enough that we could come back and forth for additional nutrition. I have never written a review before but I always READ reviews. I hope this helps anyone else to wonder if this is the real deal. The answer is YES!"

"We've been coming to the Outerbanks for more than 20 years and have stayed in our fair share of houses. This by far was the best! Everything about it was top notch. Every creature comfort, thought to the details, everything made the week wonderful. The house was clean and care has obviously been taken to decorate the house to make it warm and inviting. We loved the colors! In reflecting on the week, we realized we hardly ever left the house except to go to the beach or the grocery store! We just loved the new seating area on the patio by the pool and found ourselves sitting there the most. The covered area was perfect for the more sunny days when you wanted to get out of the sun. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. The furnishings were fantastic. All very comfortable including the beds. We have several family with bad backs and they couldn't believe how comfortable the beds were. The location to the beach was super easy, just a few short steps. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We are already looking forward to next year!"

"Pure Vida has been our favorite house yet and we've been coming to Corolla for the past 10 years. The kitchen is gorgeous and spacious, which is needed for our family of chefs! We loved the outdoor setup! We enjoyed the pool every day during our stay. The rooms are all beautifully decorated, spacious, and fit the needs of each of our family members. The house is located just a quick walk to the beach access which made our morning walks very enjoyable! We can't wait to return next year!"

"We stayed at Pura Vida-Corolla the 2nd week in May, 2021 as we saw it was a new listing with Twiddy this year. We've been coming to Corolla twice a year for 28 years and have stayed in a lot of very nice homes, but Pura Vida outdid them all. This home was spotless, so well decorated, and had everything including quality beach chairs, nice bikes, a great pool area, and a nice grill & sink combo at pool. Great decking and deck furniture too. The inside was comfortable, very tastefully decorated (again I mention that!) and had every amenity anyone would need. It was only my husband and I, so we only used the 3rd floor area, but l did look around the 1st and 2nd floors & they were very accommodating for plenty of people. One of the best features for us was the screened in porch, as the furniture was so comfortable and there was both shade & sun on the porch all day long, and it had the best breezes. Even though it was only in the 60’s that week (not normal for this time of year), we still jumped in the pool a few times. They also had cloths lines that spanned the length of the 1st & 2nd floor decks, which was great for hanging beach towels to dry fast. We want to thank the homeowners for thinking of everything a renter could need/want (even if it was just us two) so we could have an wonderful vacation in their gorgeous home!"
