Beachcomber Days

"Our family has vacationed at Beachcomber Days for many years. This was the first time we found the inside of the house, the deck, and the front porch VERY clean. We were very impressed. Be sure to tell the new owners the back yard was nicely redone. Overall, it was a good week. The weather was perfect. We hope to return next year!! One evening there was a small buck in the back yard."

"The home had everything a family could ask for including bathrooms for every room. The house was easy walking distance (6-10 age range) to ice cream and various other shops for coffee and wine (for the older age range). The beach is walkable but we did so at night due to day time temperatures. Parking at the beach was never a problem and had the convenience of the large community pool when weather looked threatening."

"We had four generations who all enjoyed the spacious, well appointed home! Especially enjoyed the pool, nicely-stocked kitchen and luxurious first floor master bedroom/bath."

"It was roomy, clean and perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 children. We really appreciated the beach chairs and toys in the garage, along with the books that kept the 2 bookworms busy. So many restaurants and little boutiques nearby within walking distance."

"Beautiful home on quiet cul de sac in a perfect location to downtown Duck and walking distant to beach! For cooler outdoor weather hot tub hits the spot and indoor jacuzzi tub with fireplace is very inviting too. Kitchen is well stocked and spacious seating available. Very comfortable beds and overall warm feeling in house and neighborhood. Staff at Four Seasons front desk were very nice and helpful with sites to see and restaurants to go in downtown Duck. Will be returning next year, can’t wait!!!"

"This was our 2nd time staying at Beachcomber Days. We LOVE this house. The home is tastefully decorated, thoughtfully outfitted and we very much enjoy the proximity to the town of Duck. We walk to the sunsets on the sound side every night because they are STUNNING! We also love the option of the first floor master and that we can send our kiddos upstairs to rest after a fun vacation day. We also enjoy the walk ability to the club house so on those rainy days we enjoy the indoor pool and ping pong. We have rented in the OBX for over 15+ years and this home is one of my favorites. We are hoping to come next year!"

"We loved the hot tub, the gas fireplaces (in March), and the master bedrooms. The Four Seasons neighborhood is very nice with the clubhouse."

"It was a brleautiful home. The furniture was comfortable and the rooms were nice with plenty of space. It was well stocked for cooking and it was relatively private. We loved it and have signed up to rent it again next year"

"I’ve stayed in several houses in Duck & Corolla. This one was one of my favorites. We walked in and could smell how clean it was. They do a good job with upkeep of the home, it’s beautiful and in good condition. My only complaint is the kitchen isn't stocked fully. There’s a few pots and pans. One frying pan. The casserole dishes are almost all chipped and there was no organization to it. But, I’m sure that’s from other renters and not the homeowners. The beds are a little rough 😂. Enjoy your vacation at this home! It still gets 5 stars from me!"

"Wonderful private getaway spot! This home had great space to be together when we wanted, with privacy when we needed, along with everything we needed to cook in, relax and recharge. Easy access to shops and sound. We were blessed with warm winter days and a front yard visit from the resident deer family. Four Seasons is a gem and this home is one of the best we’ve rented."

"This was a very nice home. Our family fit very comfortably (6 adults, 2 teens and a pre-teen). The home in general appeared clean but after closer inspection, some of the walls and door frames were dirty. I'm not sure how often or if the house gets a "spring cleaning" It wasn't a turn off, but something for the home owners/ cleaning staff to note. The pool was great as well as the hot tub and were used a ton. Plenty of space on the deck and plenty of porch furniture. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, but could use some containers and more pans, especially large sized pans/skillets. Another suggestion would be an electric griddle for pancakes. The furniture was comfortable and the house was beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable. A tv in the bunk room would be a bonus even if it a smaller one. Tons of beach gear in the garage however some of the chairs are in really rough shape. Having a full sized fridge in the garage is a bonus and it was super helpful to house all our beverages for the week. The ice maker in the kitchen was a great feature too. We played tennis, but otherwise due to COVID we couldn't use the gym or game room in the clubhouse, something we were prepared for. The distance to the beach was a little longer than we like but we understood that going in as well. We would rent a golf cart for the week if we stayed again. The Four Season's is a great community and very close to alot of shops. We barely drove anywhere the entire week. The boardwalk is very nice too. Overall we were very happy with our stay."

"We had a great week in Duck. This house was more than what we needed but it was nice for everyone to have their own room. Our son loved the bunk bed room, only recommendation I have is that that room was missing a dresser. The ice maker was a pleasant surprise and was put to work all week. The television/sound system was difficult to figure out at first but we got the hang of it. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us."
