The name of the home has changed from "The Reserve" to "The Duck Inn OBX". Updated 9/24/24
For the 2025 season, the check in day for this home will change from Sunday to Saturday. This home will be pet friendly and allow 1 dog for no additional fee or deposit, no cats. A second dog is allowed for a fee; please contact our office if you are traveling with an additional dog. The private saltwater pool will have the option to be heated! It is included with the rental fee (date restrictions apply). Bedding changes are as follows: the Level 1 Master 1 will change from a King to a Duo Bunk Set (Twin over Full). The Level 1 Master 2 will change from 2 Duo Bunk Sets to 1 Duo Bunk Set. Level 1 Master 3 will change from 2 Doubles to 1 Double Bunk Set (Full over Full). The Level 2 Master 4 will change from 3 Twins to 1 King. The bedding total will be 6 Kings, 1 Double Bunk Set and 2 Duo Bunk Sets. Updated 10/17/24
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind resort-style experience at “The Duck Inn OBX!” Located mere steps from the heart of Duck, this coastal retreat is nestled near the entrance of the Four Seasons gated community, ideally situated for town, beach, and soundside access. This expansive home features a spacious floor plan with coastal charm and sophisticated design throughout.
Relax and enjoy the bright and airy great room on the top floor, which boasts vaulted ceilings and a family-friendly layout. Elegant yet understated furnishings and finishes were carefully selected to complement the Southern Coastal style of this beautifully appointed home, genuinely integrating with the surrounding nature. The comfortably furnished living area features media to suit your needs, as well as a gas fireplace for use during the cooler months. The open-concept kitchen is a dream for large groups with its dual 5-burner gas cooktops and dual ovens, two sinks, two dishwashers, ice maker, pantry, and island seating. Getting groceries up to the kitchen on the third floor is a breeze using the home’s elevator. Gather your entire family to enjoy meals together in the large dining area. Step outside onto the screened porch for additional outdoor leisure seating and an open-air al fresco dining area, a perfect spot to gather for cocktails, coffee, or an intimate meal while enjoying the fresh air. The spectacular top-floor view showcases the expanse of the property, as well as the rear terrace and pool area, providing a majestic setting for any gathering. The two top-floor master bedrooms offer direct access to private outdoor deck seating areas and feature ensuite bathrooms with double vanities.
Four additional master bedrooms are on the mid-level, each with a private bathroom. Guests will love having their own serene seating area and kitchenette on the mid-level with a sink, microwave, and full-sized fridge to keep snacks and cold beverages nearby. The mid-level also features your office-away-from-home. Perfect for catching up on email, tackling some school work, or taking that last-minute video conference. Upgraded Wifi ensures you stay connected for all of your connectivity needs. The remaining three bedrooms can be found on the ground floor. The two front bedrooms on the ground floor are designed for your youngest guests, and they have child-friendly furniture, including a chair for reading stories. Both front bedrooms feature attached full bathrooms with tubs for bath time. The larger rear en suite bedroom is the teen lounge with its very own vibe that teens and tweens will love! The teen lounge features adult bunks to sleep four, a 60” TV with multiple game consoles, a seating area, and sliding door access to the outdoor living room.
On the ground floor, it offers a game area with a full-size pool table, bartop, TV, gas fireplace for use during cooler times of the year, a stereo speaker system for playing music throughout, and a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and ice maker. The media side of the room boasts a whopping 80” TV with theater sound. The game and media space flows seamlessly to the outside living, dining, and kitchen area, which includes two gas grills, a sink, and a prep area – all ideally situated at the pass-through poolside bar. Gather at the poolside bar while the grill is fired up in preparation for your favorite vacation feast. When you’re ready to take a dip, plunge into the generously sized private pool or relax in the poolside loungers while working on your tan.
If your plans include larger-scale entertainment, “The Duck Inn OBX” exceeds expectations with a raised terrace where you’ll enjoy a large sun sail shade covering the hot tub and offering shaded seating where you’ll feel close and connected to pool activities while enjoying a break from the sun. On the terrace, you will also find corn hole, hammock, picnic area, and private gate to the Four Seasons beach access path. All the amenities of the yard are enclosed with a privacy fence, ideal for letting kids and pets run and play. To further cater to our furry guests, “The Duck Inn OBX” also offers a dog wash at the outdoor shower, perfect for a quick rinse after romping in the surf. This coastal retreat is perfect for large family reunions, multi-family vacations, corporate retreats, and golf outings. Guests are also extended K Club benefits, including discounts on local adventure excursions and preferred green fee rates at Kilmarlic Golf Club, the Outer Banks’ premier golf experience.
In addition to the amenities at the home, Four Seasons offers a wide variety of things to do. Four Seasons is a premier ocean-to-sound community in the town of Duck. Upon passing through the gate to the oceanside section of the community, you will notice the exceptional curb appeal. Roads wind up and down hills, with sidewalks and mature trees. Convenient access paths on the north and south boundaries of the community lead directly to the beach. Enjoy stunning sunsets from the Four Seasons soundside pier. Four Seasons features include two beach accesses with parking, a clubhouse with an indoor pool, a fitness facility and game room, a trolley that circulates within the community and to the beach during the summer, an outdoor community pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, and a basketball court.

"The Reserve is a huge home with nice accommodations, plenty of parking, and a good location. The added amenities of smart TVs, a screened in porch, pool table, 2 washers/dryers, and second hot tub were appreciated. When repairs were needed upon arrival, Twiddy staff was quickly responsive to various problems: burned out light bulbs; damaged ceiling light covers; leaking toilet; shower door track issues; inoperable stove burners; missing teaspoons. An internet signal extender for the lowest floor would be helpful. We had a good week and enjoyed our stay."
