"We loved the location - convenient to everything. The spacious pool area was the best we have ever had. The astroturf was fabulous! The kitchen was so large making it easy for our group to move around. The dining table was the best because it was large enough for our entire party to eat together. You could tell that the owners were redoing almost everything in the house."

"The house was perfect for our extended family, with 9 bedrooms sleeping 20 people, 8 full and two half baths, a dining table that seats 20, a very well-equipped kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 ovens, plus ample storage for clothes and food, Books to read, games to play, a couple of bikes to ride, a much-used outdoor grill, and a wonderful pool for the younger folks to swim in during the day and the older folks to enjoy in the evenings. The beach is just over the dune behind the pool!! This was our third year at Salty Paws, and we look forward to our fourth in 2023!"

"Salty Paws was just as it was described and only a few steps to the beach. We had plenty of room in the house and loved having the pool area to come back to when the beach was to hot. Must mention that the beach side of the dune is steep sand, no steps and no railing. So my Mom, who has knee problems, was not able to make it on the beach with the rest of us. Kitchen was well equipped other then spices. Plenty of cooking options with pots n pans, electric skillet and toaster oven. Bonus having 2 dip coffee pots and 1 Keurig with so many people in the house and everyone wanting something different. We all loved this house and the morning sunrises were beautiful! I would highly recommend this house for a large crowd."

"The home looked appealing and smelled fresh upon arrival. Great theater room for multiple family members to enjoy. The outdoor space is lovely and inviting. Had a great experience in this home!"

"It was full of things to do for the whole family. The week started out rainy and the whole family spent time watching movies, playing pool, gathering! When the rain passed, the pool area was amazing too. Lots of room, very comfortable, and an all-around great place. Only down side is the beach entrance, which is public access and difficult to climb. But we would highly recommend this house to families with kids of all ages!"

"We had a great time at Salty Paws! The house was big enough for our family of 14 with room to spare. The updated backyard was a huge hit with the kids! Thank you for such a great time."

"This was our 19th year coming to Duck and although each house we rented over the years was great, this house was PERFECT for us. The overall space was perfect for our extended family and the theatre room was great for the younger kids and the backyard was exceptional. Just wish we could have enjoyed the outside more at night, but due to the bugs this year we could not. The only minor suggestions would be maybe adding more frying pans and baking sheets and possibly adding back in the sleeper sofa back to the area where the poker table is. We had rented this house before the renovations and rented it with the sleeper sofa in mind, but then it was removed with the reno's. Otherwise, this house is perfect and it took 19 years for us to find it. We are already booked for next year and can't wait for 2022."

"This is our third consecutive year renting this house and we were absolutely thrilled with the improvements that have been made since 2020. Not only did we have decent water pressure for a change, the pool area upgrade left us speechless. Knowing what it used to be like made us appreciate it even more. This is a fantastic rental in a good location and it fit our extended family perfectly. Even has plenty of room for our cars without getting all blocked in!"

"Salty Paws was absolutely perfect for us! The pool area has been completely redone and we loved having the turf to give kids an alternative to cement or sand to run on! So much of the house appeared to be updated with lots of new furniture. The house has so much room so you never feel crowded (even with a big crowd!)! The kids loved the theater room and the kids rooms downstairs. We loved it and can’t wait to come again!!"

"Great house, beautiful view, great kitchen and easy beach access. Advertised as wheelchair friendly but only in terms of a few wide doorways, open concept in main rooms and elevator. No ramps or bars into house, onto decks or in bath. Two sets of washer/dryers make packing light easy. Had a great time with family."

"Quack Shack is a beautiful oceanfront home. Bedrooms are lovely and the view is sensational. We liked the fact that there were chairs and bikes available for use. About a little over an hour from town, it was a little further out than we are typically accustomed - but being beachfront made it worth it. It was nice to be able to see family/kids on the beach from the top floor of the home. The kitchen is fairly well equipped but the cabinet facing is peeling in some areas and should be repaired. The basement rooms are a bit of an odd layout (too many bunk rooms) but fine for teenagers. The pool area needs a bit of work... fence has holes where sand is pouring through and the pool cement should be resurfaced. The outdoor area detracted from the overall home but luckily we did not feel the need to spend much time around the pool."
