Vacation Rental Parking

The number of parking spaces available is listed in the description of most homes. There is no municipal parking available or street parking allowed in most areas and towing is enforced. Campers, RVs and mobile units are not permitted in any community and may not be parked at the home for additional sleeping space. Some communities do not permit boat trailers or other types of trailers to be parked in the driveway at the home. Prior to your visit, please check with our office to see if your boat/trailer is permitted to be parked at the vacation home you are renting. Should you need additional parking, there may be space available at our Corolla office. Please contact our office to confirm space is available and purchase a parking pass.

Beach Parking

Some communities offer community parking lots throughout the neighborhood or near the community beach accesses. Passes may be required in some communities and will be provided to you at check-in.

Corolla offers beach parking at two public beach accesses. There is one located just south of the Twiddy Corolla office, across from the Currituck Lighthouse and the other is located across from the Currituck County Visitors Center. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted. There is no public beach parking in Duck or Southern Shores. If you are staying in a vacation rental home located in Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head, there are a number of designated public beach accesses with parking along the beach road, NC-12. 

Parking at 4x4 Vacation Rentals

For guests vacationing on the 4x4 beaches, limited parking is available at Twiddy’s Corolla office for guests to park non-4x4 vehicles while vacationing on the 4x4 beaches. Parking passes can be purchased prior to arrival or at our Corolla office upon arrival. Contact us if you wish to purchase your parking pass in advance. Passes are currently $7 per day or $35 per week. For guests leaving their vehicles at the Corolla office, please make arrangements for your own transportation up to your 4x4 home. Twiddy does not provide transportation.
