"We love being right on the beach and having a private little boardwalk right through the dunes and onto the beach. We also love the spacious deck from which we can see the beach and ocean at all times and also the Fishheads Pier. It's an easy walk to the restaurant and pier either on the beach or on the sidewalk up front. Also some nights you can hear the live music at Fishheads. Most importantly we absolutely love that we can bring our dogs with us to enjoy all of it with us AND they even have their own private little dog park to play in out front when they need a break from the beach or just want some variety:)"

"Peanut’s Palace is a beautiful well kept home with the perfect location. It is within walking distance to “FishHeads” and the Outer Banks Pier.If you are a fisherman, the surf fishing is hopping and if fishing the sound is more your style, you are only 5-10 minutes from the little bridge."

"Peanuts palace was a great place to stay, the bedrooms were roomy and big master bathrooms, loved the fenced dog area, the game room was nice, the upstairs deck had beautiful views, the big hot tub was nice in the evenings, short walk out back to the beach so convenient! We loved it so much we booked already for next Summer!"

"There's nothing we didn't love about the home! It was perfect in every way! Right on the beach, close to everything we wanted to do but not crazy congested. We love that it's so dog friendly too. Both our human kids AND K9 kids had an amazing time. There's even a fenced in dog yard for potty breaks. This was definitely one of our best vacations ever if not the best and we've traveled quite a bit. We loved it so much we've already reserved the home for next year only for two weeks instead of just one! Thank you so much for the countless awesome memories!"

"This house is amazing. Loved that it is right on the beach and close to the fishing pier. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, they even had plastic ware for leftovers. Plenty of room for our family. Hot tub was amazing. So much room in the house for everyone to be comfortable. Wonderful that it is pet friendly. We have two small dogs and they loved all the room and the new sod area in the front is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back next year."

"The main house was nice and clean. WiFi was an issue but was resolved before we left. It was great to have a separate bathroom for each room. The guest house was not as nice but the overall experience was great! Also, it was really great to be so close to the pier, stores and restaurants."

"Thank you for affording our family a great vacation on the Outer Banks. Beach Retreat II was a great location! We have stayed several times at the cottage 3 houses to the south of this one in the past, but needed the extra room. We did have a couple of air conditioners in the second cottage that were not worked by, but Twiddy resolved this issue quickly and in a timely manner. The cottage could have used more soup bowls, but we had brought styrofoam bowls to accommodate us. We loved the pool table; it was nice to play in the evenings. But, most of the time, we were enjoying the beach!! Overall, great time!! First time with Twiddy; we’ve been coming to the OBX for over 40 years, and we were not disappointed! Thank you!! We will use Twiddy again in the future!"

"Overall we were pleased with this home. The living room could use more seating. Some repairs need to be made (screen doors are either broken or won’t close). It was relatively clean for a rental home. Location was perfect. Well stocked with blankets and pillows. Since it’s dog friendly, would be nice if they had built in gates on the decks. Luckily we brought our own."

"House was perfect for us for our New Years getaway. The guest house gives you privacy if you’re traveling with more then one family. The kitchen could be stocked a little better, especially for the amount of people that the house could accommodate and the living room could use more seating as 1 small couch was not enough for our family."

"This is the 3rd year in a row staying at Beach Retreat II. It has proven to be the perfect setup for our family. We've never had a complaint from anybody in our group. We have a variety of ages, and it seems to meet the needs of all of them. If I had to make a recommendation, it would be to include a dresser in each of the 2 bedrooms upstairs. It's no fun pulling your clothes out of a suit case all week. I would stay there again... we haven't had a bad trip yet. It would just make it better with the extra dressers."

"Our first impressions of the house were not very good. The description said there would be a duo bunk, but there was only a futon. We had counted on the extra sleep space, so had to call Twiddy for a cot. They were very nice about it, but ended up bringing just a twin blow up mattress. The house was a lot smaller than we anticipated and the kitchen was not well stocked- there were not any serving dishes, measuring spoons, or plastic glasses, among other things. The walkway to the beach was not well maintained as far as overgrowth. With that being said, we were right on the beach, which was our main priority, and, despite the house's shortcomings, we had a great vacation."
