"1. House needs another set of dinner dishes ... we had to do a load of dishes after each meal. 2. Also, a heads up: the dryer lint trap has been ripped away from the frame ... a new lint trap is needed. 3. Sure would love another set of rocking chairs for the top deck. Loved access to the beach !!!! The house was roomy. The elevator was a blessing to bring groceries to the top floor and for a family member who had knee issues and difficulty climbing stairs. Loved the pool, too. Great beach house !!!"

"This is a nice home for a medium to larger sized family in the quieter Southern Shores area. Some instruction for operating the TVs would be nice, though we finally figured it out. Internet speed is too slow when streaming movies through Netflix if they are stopped and restarted."

"Solidly built with comfortable furniture, great kitchen, beautiful view and private walkway to the beach. Elevator was a huge plus. We've never stayed this far south in the OBX and appreciated the privacy of Southern Shores while still being close to many amenities."

The bedrooms are comfy, the indoor sitting areas are cozy, the kitchen is fun to cook in, but our favorite spot is the deck right off the kitchen area. We start and end our days in this spot!!!!"

"This house is brilliantly equipped for cooking. With the multiple guest rooms there are options to have many different combinations. It is well positioned for sleeping and is very livable in all ways."

"Whoever designed this home really understands my idea of the perfect beach vacation. The upper deck is the ideal place for watching the ocean; all of the bedrooms but one face the ocean; and there is a small tv room where a smaller group can gather away from the main room for a little private time. There are multiple decks and screened spaces for avoiding the direct sun for a while and you can watch the sun rise over the ocean and set over the sound. The crow's nest on the dune is another gem, and the window to the ocean in the master suite's shower was just another of the house's little features that made our stay a big success. The home's location in Southern Shores was also both private and convenient, and we were off-season, but it was almost like having a private beach."

"Our entire family of 11 (6 adults and 5 children under the age of 6) stayed here together for a week. What a joy for this grandma’s heart to have our family all together! The home is beautiful and there were beds and rooms for all of us. The location was perfect, far enough away from busy highway 12, close to the ocean, hot tub and pool to enjoy as well. The large table in the kitchen could seat all of us, though the chairs were oddly balanced and at least two grandchildren fell over backwards on them. The kitchen was great and well supplied with utensils, etc. the pool was quite cold, as we were there late September and it is not heated, but the hot tub was great! The charcoal grill was missing, so we used the gas grill instead. Loved the decks and view of the ocean! Would highly recommend this house for a large family gathering!"

"We have rented this home each year since it was built. It is in a great location and the views are incredible from upper deck. Unfortunately the home has lost it's previous "sparkle" due to updates that are much needed."

"The layout of the home is great for single couples or families. The kitchen layout is great and the amount of cutlery, cooking utensils and such are great. The pool and the various places to seat outside are perfect. There is just one major flaw--the internet is not very good. it oftens needs rebooting and it is hard to send even the simplest of emails."
